MARRIAGE

My wedding day is tomorrow, August 8, 2005. I will be marrying a man who is so right for me. We are so much alike in that we have so much in common in tastes, values, spiritual views which, by the way, are a synergistic merging of the views we each held individually in the past.

We met one day in the fall of 1992 and lived together from the day we met until we parted ways in the fall of 1995. For the first year, we stayed glued together like the "Bobsy Twins" to the extent that when someone would see one of us, the other was also there. If one of us went someplace alone, we were always questioned about where the other was.

Since the separation in fall of 1995, each of us has gone through a significant growth process. Each of us found and lived the most destructive life possible. After we parted, we each hit rock bottom to ultimately lead us to realize that we were unable to continue living life as we had before and we each, separately, went to the Lord and asked for guidance. We both grew spiritually and emotionally since then.

When we met again July 12, 2005 when mom and I visited with him at his house until July 13. We both were cautious and guarded but polite and cordial. We made a trip to the grocery store and it was just as it had been before. We were comfortable, as if a day hadn't passed since we were last together. Finally, just before mom and I departed, we hugged each other and the fireworks went off for us both. It was as if nothing had changed.

We both felt later that we were brought back together, as if soulmates, to be destined to be together. Since then, he has shared with me the fact that he has studied the Bible for the past 8 years and I expressed to him that I found the Lord on July 11, 2003. He shared with me the true definition of the Sabbath as Saturday worship. It rings so true to me because of my former background of Judiasm. He believes in the Old and New Testaments both as living words from God and I feel he is exactly on target.

May the Lord remain with us today and every day of our marriage. Heaven knows that we are meant to be together.
