Have you put toxic chemicals between your pet's shoulder blades? Have you tried the toxic foggers? Are you searching for a non-toxic, non-lethal treatment?

Let me tell you about a method I discovered online and used with much success.

This is a quasi-organic treatment of your pet(s) and the entire house.

First, purchase the items you'll need. You'll need a box of Borax and several extra vacuum cleaner bags. Now, you'll have to move the furniture off the floors as much as possible, then vacuum all carpeted areas. That means you'll tip the sofa up so you can get it vacuumed underneath.

Now, poke about ten (10) holes in the top of your box of Borax and sprinkle it all over the carpeting, under the sofa, and in areas where the pet(s) lounge. That means ALL the carpeting! Now, change the vacuum cleaner bag and dispose as far away from the house as possible.

REPEAT THIS entire procedure every day or every two days.

This worked in my apartment and my next door neighbor's apartment as well. Yeah, yeah. Sadly, our cats infested each other. But, alas, there was a happy ending. We had a party and celebrated!

Look Up Music Artists, Titles, and Lyrics

This has turned out to be a great resource for information on all the start we all love.

Maybe sing a few notes of the musical scale or "la la la la" in an modulating manner (i.e. low rising then lowering, etc.). Try to build up the strength of your vocal chords just as if you were physically exercising. Start moderately before singing for a long time.
Andy Serkis who voiced Gollum in the Lord of the Rings trilogy (actually he wasn't used in the first installment) said he had to drink a mixture of honey, lemon and ginger tea (I might have the combination wrong) everyday because he was straining his voice by speaking with a rasp.
Whitney Houston would drink honey, lemon tea before her performances.

James Has Surgery

James is getting surgery on his left hand this afternoon subsequent to two emergency room visits. I guess you’ll have to learn later... Most will not be able to change the INDOCTRINATION from their church. Okay. I guess you will just have to learn later... As for the remaining 1% of you, you will become curious and investigate. You will post here and ask a boatload of questions. I will be here.

Quote of the Day

“In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.”

died."
"My parrot? Dead? The one that won the international competition?"
"Si, that's the one."
"Darn! That's a pity! I spent a small fortune on that bird. Clutter fills more than our shelves and closets - it permeates our lives. We work hard to be able to afford things, many of which require care, cleaning, storing, insuring, protecting....and the media and the merchants are constantly offering us the next "must have". The cost of consumer goods goes beyond the price tag. Environmental costs come from resource extraction, manufacture, shipping and waste management. Consumer demand drives industrial pollution - here are a few tips to simplify and help "de-consume":
• Teach your children. Let your children know about the direct link between consumer goods and environmental costs, then let them make their own decisions. Show them that when you make a purchase, it's for the inherent value of the item and not for social status. Remember the hidden costs of the things you consume. Sooner or later you or your children will pay those costs.
• Enjoy nonmaterial pleasures. Whether alone or enjoyed with others, nonmaterial pursuits offer lasting and immeasurable benefits - music, sports, hobbies, crafts and games contribute to personal development with little cost to you or the environment.
• Give sustainably. Birthday and holiday gifts don't have to be the latest consumer goods. See the weblink, 'Tips for Sustainable Giving,' for non-commercial gift ideas.
• Share, swap, trade. Start a tool share with neighbors for tools which may not be used too often - lawn mower, power saw, compressor, ladder, paint sprayer, etc. Fewer things to buy, and store, for everyone. Swap or trade for goods and services if possible, to save on the manufacture of new goods and packaging, and of course the taxes.
• Reduce visual clutter.Try putting things you can live without in boxes and put the boxes in the attic or basement for six months. Then re-open the boxes and keep what you missed. Give the rest away as gifts, or hold a garage sale. Then try this formula - for every new thing that comes in, one old thing goes out.

Quote: "Don't confuse your net worth with your self-worth" ~ Anonymous

Excerpt About Meditation

Daily Meditation:
A brief daily meditation, even for just 15 minutes, is your chance to turn off the rest of the world and listen to yourself. Our fast-paced modern lifestyle delivers a steady barrage of information, obligation and responsibility. Meditation clears the mind and relaxes the body.
Meditation does not require incense, mandalas, mantras or the perfect lotus position. It only requires you to be comfortable, quiet and to try to clear your mind. A few tips:
• Consistency. Try to meditate every day, even if only for a few minutes. The benefits are cumulative.
• Location. Choose a quiet space where you won't be disturbed. Turn off the phone. If possible, meditate in the same spot every day.
• Breathe. Focus on your breathing to help clear your mind and relax your body.
• Try not to think. Listen to your heart, feel the energy in your body, let an empty breeze flow through your mind. Above all, try not to organize your day or problem solve.
• Lower your expectations. The benefits of meditation are substantial, but subtle. Don't look for results - they'll find you.
• Make it last. As you leave your meditation space, try to extend the relaxed, focused feeling into your day. Every few hours, if you think of it, take a slow deep breath and envision your meditation space. Meditation can help you feel more relaxed and focused throughout the day.

How To Talk To Police, according to rense.com

It looks like an interesting article, but as with all legal matters, I recommend that you always consult your attorney first.

Wow! The following article is evidence of an increase in productivity in a warm environment. I know I'm more productive when my fingers are warm enough to move with agility over the keys on the keyboard. Now I have verification of my perceptions from an actual, and valid study.

A study at Cornell University has found that office workers in a warm environment are more productive than they are in colder spaces. The study was conducted by Alan Hedge, who is a professor of design and environmental analysis; he is also the director of Cornell's Human Factors and Ergonomics Laboratory.
The study was conducted in Olrando, Florida at the headquarters of Insurance Office of America. Nine office workstations were outfitted with sensors that sampled the air temperature every 15 minutes. In addition to recording the temperature in the work space, they also monitored the amount of time the workers used the keyboard, and the amount of time spent correcting errors.
The results are a little surprising. At 66 degrees Fahrenheit (18.8 degrees Celsius) workers typed 54 percent of the time and with a 25 percent error rate. When the temperature was raised to 77 degrees Fahrenheit (25 degrees Celsius), the workers were typing 100 percent of the time and with a paltry 10 percent error rate. From this data, it is clear that office temperature can have a drastic effect of worker output.
Of course, if you are in a cold climate, it may cost more to warm the facilities to these temperatures, but the incremental increase in heating costs, is far outweighed by the savings associated with increased worker productivity. Professor Hedge concluded that, on average, raising the temperature to the ideal zone saves employers $2 per hour per employee. If you multiply these savings across an entire corporation, you discover that the financial impact can be substantial.
More studies need to be conducted to properly isolate the ideal working temperature. Does this mean that companies seeking ultimate efficiency should pack up and head closer to the equator?

Quote of the Day

Treat people as if they were what they ought to be and you will help them become what they are capable of becoming.
~ Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

Quote of the Day

No obstacles fell in his way that seemed to him insurmountable. type='text'>God's Laws

I have learned that Christ actually commands us to observe the Sabbath as He did.
We are commanded to keep clean and unclean foods in our diets.
We are also commanded to observe all the Holy Days mentioned in Leviticus 23.
I observe the Sabbath by fellowshiping with other New Testament Sabbath-keepers because Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath. The Lord said that man shall live (or have life) by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Therefore, we're not entitled to pick what we like or don't like out of the scripture.
This is why I decided to keep the Holy Days, the Sabbath and clean and unclean foods. After all, our Savior Jesus Christ and Paul and his disciples all did.
If you get a chance, read Matthew 5:17-19, because Jesus said it best. And, I might add that as far as I can tell, heaven and earth have not yet passed.
Jesus is not confused about which day He would observe and teach in the synagogues. As Paul said, "Follow me as I follow Christ," and I'm trying to do the same.
NOW - I have two questions for you:
Firstly, can you tell what the gospel is?
Secondly, can you tell the Biblical definition of sin?
On a personal note, we are starting a Bible study at the apartment and we are looking forward to five visitors. Wow! This will be very exciting!
Note: To know God more fully, forget everything you ever learned and STUDY the Bible to find yourself approved.

Quote of the Day

Shared joy is a double joy; shared sorrow is half sorrow.
~ Swedish proverb

Good For YOU!

THE SUPERFOODS AND NUTRITIONAL FOODS THAT BUILD HEALTH

Use them therapetuically to stimulate immune response, accelerate healing and tissue repair, help prevent degenerative disease and promote longivity.

Spirulina – the original green superfood. Research has shown that spirulina alone could double the protein available to humanity on a fraction of the world’s land, while helping restore the environmental balance of the plant. 20 times more protein than soybeans, 40 x more protein than corn and 400 x more protein than beef. It is a complete protein (providing all 21 amino acids) and the entire B complex of vitamins – including B 12. It is rich in beta carotene, minerals, trace minerals, and EFA’s. Digestibility is high – so it stimulates both immediate – and long range energy.

Barley Grass - has highly concentrated vitamins, minerals, enzymes, proteins and chlorophyllins - eleven times more calcium than cow's milk, five times more iron than spinach, and seven times more vitamin C and bioflavonoids than orange juice. Its significant contribution to a vegetarian diet is 80mg of vitamin B-12. Barley grass research shows results for DNA damage repair and delaying aging. Barley juice has anti-viral activity and neutralizes heavy metals like mercury. It is an ideal anti-inflammatory for healing gastrointestinal ulcers, hemorrhoids and pancreatic infections. Dr. Kuboto of Tokyo Pharmacy Science says, "barley grass has effects measurably stronger than either steroid or non-steroid drugs, and with few if any side effects.

Wheat Germ – is the embryo of the wheat berry, rich in vitamins B, proteins, vitamin E and iron. A good source of Vitamin E (the body’s oxygenator) One tablespoon provides the anti-oxidant equivalent of an oxygen tent for 30 minutes! It goes rancid quickly – in nitrogen flushed packaging. Keep refrigerated.

Omega 3 EFA’s (Essential Fatty Acids) These are all major components of cell membranes. Without them, cells could not function. Vital to circulatory health, and integral to good metabolism. Found in Flax seed oil, borage oil and evening oil of primrose. Omega 3 oils eliminate binging and food addiction, helps burn fats and increases stamina by supporting good liver function. Also helpful in overcoming food allergies. Improves stamina. The omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids is helpful in the development and correct balance of prostaglandins. Which controls inflammation, immunity, fertility, and cell communications.

ALFALFA is one of the world's richest mineral-source foods, pulling up earth minerals from root depths of as great as 130 feet! Alfalfa's high chlorophyll content and rich plant fiber make it a good spring tonic, infection fighter and natural body deodorizer. It is a restorative in treating cases of narcotic and alcohol addiction. It is a great therapy for arthritis, skin disorders and liver problems. Because of its high vitamin K content, herbalists use alfalfa to encourage blood-clotting. It is also used to treat bladder infections, colon disorders, anemia, hemorrhaging and diabetes. It is recognized phytohormones are effective in normalizing estrogen production.

CULTERED FOODS and PROBIOTICS - Probiotics are beneficial microorganisms in your intestinal tract. You have heard of them: Lactobacillus, Bifidobactera, Streptococcus and such. They manufacture vitamins, especially B vitamins that detoxify chemicals and metabolize hoormones. They empower enzymes that maximize food assimilaiton and digestion. PROBIOTICS, (as opposed to ANTIbiotics) are amazing fighting forces that competes at a basic level with disease-causing microorganisms in your body. They prevent the growth of undesirable bacteria by depriving them of nourishment, and they attack specific pathogens by changing your body's acid/alkaline balance to an antibiotic environment.) If you are taking long courses of drub antibiotics, remember that they are non selective and kill ALL bacteria, both bad and good. All intestinal flora are severely diminished. Some effects of good bacteria being destroyed are poor digesiton, diarrhea or constipaiton, flatuence, bad breath, body odor, bloating, tiredness, migraines and even yeast infections or candida. Your body ecology must maintain an ecological balance of bacteria to protect intestinal and immune function. When unfriendly bacteria get the upper hand in the balance, the door opens to infections and allergy reactions. Probiotic organisms prevent disease, even treat infection by restoring microorganism balance in your intestinal tract.

HOW DO YOU GET PROBIOTICS IN YOUR DIET? Add them through foods like yogurt, kefir, soyfoods, miso, kombucha, apple cider vinegar, or raw sauerkraut. For supplementation, Order Probiotic Eleven, Lactobacillius or L. Reuteri from Natures Sunshine Products. (Go to my products page to receive wholesale on these leading supplements.)

Dr. Linda Page, author of Healthy Healing says "I see probiotic supplements as a health insurance policy." Here is what she says they can do for you: *Boost immune response by inhibiting growth of pathogenic organisms. *Detoxify the intestinal tract by protecting intestinal mucosa levels. *Develop a barrier to food-borne allergies. *Neutralize antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria. *Reduce cancer risk. *Reduce the risk of inflammatory bowel disease (IBS) and diverticulosis. *Synthesize needed vitamins for healing. *Prevent diarrhea by improving digestion of proteins and fats. New research shows that probiotics play a key role in prevention of osteoporosis.

Natural Health Schools

Click on the link (above) and then find the "School Listing" section. First of all, I think it's the number-one best relaxer. When you begin to still the mind and become quiet in your body, you feel a sort of "giving away" of all stress. Then, as you go a little deeper in meditation, right below the surface level of the mind there is a place of great tranquility and peace and love. I find if you can touch that just for a moment, the peace and love of that state infuse your whole being. So when you come out of meditation, you re-meet the world from an optimal place.
And then as you go deeper, you come to a place of great inspiration, the place from which great writers write and great thinkers think and great musicians compose music. That's all within us, that capacity. And ultimately, in the deepest level of meditation, you come to touch the divine energy that has created the whole universe. You begin to feel oneness with the great power of this universe, and there the inner mysteries, the answers to the big questions -- Who am I? What am I supposed to do here? What is a human being? -- are answered.
I think we all have the experience of feeling that there is something greater inside ourselves, that we have some potential if we could just tap it, if we just could unlock it. In the tradition of yoga, from time to time there are great souls or spiritual masters who have the ability to awaken our dormant spiritual energy. This is what shaktipat is all about. Shaktipat allows you to begin to access your own love, your own creativity. It actually empowers the experience of meditation.
This was certainly my experience. I tried to meditate for a number of years on my own, and when I received shaktipat, I literally felt an almost magnetic energy awakened inside my being, in the region of my heart. As I would sit to meditate every day and would begin to still the mind, I'd feel that energy rise up. It was a very loving feeling. And then that energy would begin to guide me or draw me back inside into deeper states of meditation.
Swami Ishwarananda, one of the Siddha Yoga teachings monks is known amongst Siddha Yoga students for his authenticity, warmth and great clarity of expression.<div Because God wants us to stay married for life.
2. Because marriage is a picture of the love God has for the church and each divorce damages that picture.
3. Because divorce hurts - Children, in-laws, friends and you!
4. Because 2nd and 3rd marriages tend to be even less successful that 1st marriages.
5. Because divorce often creates serious financial problems for one of both parties.
6. Because you lose friends and family.
7. Because you lose out on what could have been.
8. Because you both once loved each other and could recapture that love if you both choose to do so.
9. Because it is generally good for your health.
10. Because it builds personal character.

Top Ten Reasons NOT To Marry

Recently, on Dr. Randy Carlson's Christian radio program, he discussed a quick list of the top ten reasons not to get married. Please read below, and then, find an additional list for the "top ten reasons to stay married" when you follow the web link above.

Read this with care, as it could encourage you to either make the right decisions, or positively build on the some you have already made!

PLEASE DO NOT MARRY IF:

1. You are unwilling to put the needs of another person above your own.

2. You are easily offended, carry grudges and are unwilling to forgive.

3. You are an abusive person (Mentally, emotionally and physically).

4. You are unwilling to commit.

5. You have an unresolved addiction problem.

6. Your career is the most important thing in your life.

7. You do not share the same beliefs, values, life priorities or vision.

8. You are unwilling to be an active partner sexually with your spouse.

9. You are unwilling to agree on an approach for handling finances, children and life decisions.

10. You expect your spouse to change after you get married.

Remember, successful marriages are not of perfection, rather of two people willing to grow closer to Christ and each other. Don't be discouraged if you struggle with any of the above reasons, but before you get married, do yourself and your future spouse a favor by first committing to grow stronger in each area.

Now, would you like to know Dr. Carlson's TEN REASONS TO STAY MARRIED? You can read them right now at the weblink above.

Quote of the Day

This is the way of Peace: Overcome evil with good, and falsehood with truth, and hatred with love."
~ Peace Pilgrim

Quote of the Day

Success isn't measured by how much merchandise you sell.
Real success is found in the development of, and opportunities you provide for, the people who are selling it.
~ Barney Kroger, 1860-1938

Quote of the Day

Imagination is more important than knowledge. type='text'>The Ultimate Definition of Sin

God sets high standards for us in finding and overcoming the sins that affect us. Ultimately, these definitions tell us that sin is anything that is contrary to the will of God or doesn't express the holy character of God. That is the standard He has set for us, as seen by these definitions.
Our efforts to identify and remove sin can be compared to the story of a sculptor chipping away at an enormous block of stone. Another man asks him what he's sculpting, and the sculptor replies, "An elephant." The other man then asks, "How do you sculpt an elephant?" The sculptor considers the question, then says: "It's really very simple. You just chip away anything that doesn't look like an elephant."
We are doing the same thing when we start chipping away sins from our lives. Our goal is, with God's help, to chip away everything that isn't like God. We are removing sin—everything that is contrary to or doesn't express the holy character of God—with the purpose of more fully and maturely reflecting God's very mind and way of life.
We called a furnace specialist referred by Stephen and he said there is a leak in the furnace in addition to a broken blower motor. The price for the furnace, wholesale, is $960 plus tax. The cost of the installation will be $425 and it will be completed by Saturday afternoon.

That's an investment of $4475 into a home we are about to put on the market. Additonally, regionally, houses are not selling unless the sellers are willing to continue marking down the price. It's a sad state we're in at the current time.

Silly Poetry

The Legend of the Pine Tree
