Will things get better?

I am on a quest for employment as a way to get out of the house and meet interesting, lively, emotionally stable and pro-active people. That's the goal, at least. That, and getting a regular paycheck!

Also I am considering creating a new public access television show. More on that soon...

eBay 2008

My plan for this year is to sell off household stuff on eBay, and make donations to shelters with the remainder. Then, I'll be doing the same with my brother's five (5) storage lockers.

Flea Infestation Solution!

You may have already tried the recommended toxic treatments. Have you put toxic chemicals between your pet's shoulder blades? Have you tried the toxic foggers? Are you searching for a non-toxic, non-lethal treatment?

Let me tell you about a method I discovered online and used with much success.

This is a quasi-organic treatment of your pet(s) and the entire house.

First, purchase the items you'll need. You'll need a box of Borax and several extra vacuum cleaner bags. Now, you'll have to move the furniture off the floors as much as possible, then vacuum all carpeted areas. That means you'll tip the sofa up so you can get it vacuumed underneath.

Now, poke about ten (10) holes in the top of your box of Borax and sprinkle it all over the carpeting, under the sofa, and in areas where the pet(s) lounge. That means ALL the carpeting! Now, change the vacuum cleaner bag and dispose as far away from the house as possible.

REPEAT THIS entire procedure every day or every two days.

This worked in my apartment and my next door neighbor's apartment as well. Yeah, yeah. Sadly, our cats infested each other. But, alas, there was a happy ending. We had a party and celebrated!

Chris Cornell on July 22, 2007 at THE FILLMORE in Downtown Detroit

The concert was a phenomenon! Wonderful artist!

In conclusion...

If you didn't love Chris BEFORE the concert --- you love him AFTER the concert!

Clear Voice Advice for Singers

Try to warm up your vocal chords with voice exercises before singing. Maybe sing a few notes of the musical scale or "la la la la" in an modulating manner (i.e. low rising then lowering, etc.). Try to build up the strength of your vocal chords just as if you were physically exercising. Start moderately before singing for a long time.

Andy Serkis who voiced Gollum in the Lord of the Rings trilogy (actually he wasn't used in the first installment) said he had to drink a mixture of honey, lemon and ginger tea (I might have the combination wrong) everyday because he was straining his voice by speaking with a rasp.

Whitney Houston would drink honey, lemon tea before her performances.

James Has Surgery

James is getting surgery on his left hand this afternoon subsequent to two emergency room visits. It has been a trying time for him with this, and it all began with an apparent staph infection due to an open cut that did not remain covered and did not heal before the kooties got in there. Certainly, there's a technical word for that, but that's not why you're here.

GOD'S LAWS YOU NEVER KNEW

You do not follow Leviticus 23. You do not obey all Ten Commandments. Hmmmm.... That is curious. Did God change the RULES for YOU??? What about the TEN COMMANDMENTS? Commandment number four says to keep the Sabbath Day. Duh. Can you count to SEVEN? Check your calendar. The first day of the week is SUNDAY. The SEVENTH is Saturday. That's the LAST day of the week during which God rests and awaits our interaction.

Forget the rules you THINK YOU know and opt to LEARN GOD'S RULES and LAWS before it is too late. I realize that 95% of you will not even open the Bible to check to see if what I'm saying is true and 4% will stop because something else is more important. Is that the phone? You better get that and forget about God's laws for now. I guess you’ll have to learn later... Most will not be able to change the INDOCTRINATION from their church. Okay. I guess you will just have to learn later... As for the remaining 1% of you, you will become curious and investigate. You will post here and ask a boatload of questions. I will be here.

Quote of the Day

“In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.”

“The toughest part of getting to the top of the ladder is getting through the crowd at the bottom.”

The Second Passover

Because of my birthday celebration, my family missed the Passover celebration last month. Luckily, however, God allows a provision for a chance to observe this High Holy Day.

Gotta fly for now because I'm at the coffee house with Mom and Tom, awaiting Gary and Beth for a $25 pay dispersement.

If that wasn't enough...

My brother told me that he will be going to the VA Hospital at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He will have a surgery to implant a stint into one of his arteries. I wish and pray that his health will endure through the surgery as well as for another decade, at least. I love him and look to him as my closest relative outside of my mother. He will be in our prayers.

The engine burned...yikes!

The engine of my 1991 GMC TopKick Dump Truck was on fire, according to reports from my employee, Gary L. Myers. Tomorrow we all will try to discover and solve the problem we have with the power steering pump.
